you arrive at the Mohammed V International Airport, Casablanca. After clearing customs, you’ll see

You will be driving to Fes today, a city that is important in the history of Morocco. As you drive to
Rabat for lunch, you can enjoy the scenery as you look out your window. The capital city of Morocco
is located right on the coast. Rabat has a more down-to-earth feel because it isn’t a very touristy city.
You can stop in at a restaurant in Rabat to try delicious Moroccan cuisine. It’s best if you don’t go to a
touristy restaurant, but rather a local one. Take a stroll down the palm tree-lined boulevard or drive
by the residence where Morocco’s King lives.
You’ll drive through the modern New City in Fes before reaching Medina founded in the 9th Century.
The medieval city does not allow cars, so donkeys will be seen carrying heavy loads through ornate
gates. Over 9,000 streets are packed into this medieval city, and some of them are so narrow that you
will have to walk in single file. Imagine yourself stepping into an ancient way of living that has been
preserved over the centuries ….

Moulay Idris is one of the holiest cities in Morocco. This town, named after the Muslim saint who founded Fes, is beautiful with its white walls.
Lunch will be in Meknes. Bab Mansour was built in honor of Sultan Moulay-Ismail. The gate is
beautifully decorated with zelij tile and intricate engraving. The ancient granaries and the Royal Stables of Moulay Ismail are also on your itinerary.

The drive from Fes to Marrakech will be long, but it is full of beautiful sights. Drive up the Middle
Atlas Mountains, and then wind along the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the scenery…you’ll be in for

Saadian tombs should not be missed.
The Saadian tombs have been forgotten for many years. Many royal Saadians are buried in these tombs. The tombs are decorated with lavish art and flawless zellij designs. This is one of the most beautiful grave sites you will ever see.
